Clinical Social Work-Therapist, Counselor
Hello and thank you for taking the time to read more about me. I began my career as an LBSW working with children and families that experienced abuse. While in my graduate program my specialization was Children in Foster Care. This experience and training has increased my passion for working with those that have experienced abuse.
I worked for a year in the head start setting providing individual therapy sessions with children using Play and Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral therapy models. I also conducted parent educational sessions as well as classroom evaluations. I have experience working with adults living with HIV/AIDS and other health conditions. I have worked in home health, in the hospital setting and in a therapeutic setting in a local domestic violence shelter. Prior to my current position I worked as a children's therapist with the primary modality used being play therapy.
I currently work in the school setting providing for the mental health needs of students. I also work with students and families that have experienced homelessness.
I have my Master's Degree in Social Work and am independently licensed as a Clinical Social Worker.
