LCSW Clinical Social Work Supervisor, LICSW- Clinical Supervisor
My name is Rebekah and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Illinois (License #149.013349) as well as an Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the State of Iowa (License #007832). I am a private practice clinician working part-time at South Park Psychology private practice in Moline, Illinois. I also teach Social Work courses online for Ashford University. I am a certified Domestic Violence Professional in the State of Illinois and I also have a post graduate certificate in Primary Behavioral Health Medical Integration from University of Massachusetts Medical School. I have worked in the field since 2004 in a variety of areas which include domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse/neglect, foster care, community mental health, specialized behavioral schools, co-occurring disorders, eating disorders, medical integration initiatives and Autism Spectrum Disorders. I have spent years providing individual, sibling, family and group therapy as well as case management. I received my BSW from Cornerstone University in Michigan and my MSW from Loyola University in Chicago. I have sat on several boards, including Big Brother Big Sister and our local Autism Society board.
In regards to my personal intervention style, I am proficient in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, including Trauma Informed CBT. I also worked for a number of years using the Strength Based Model and Systems Theory. Additionally I am able to instruct MSW's on how to incorporate faith based interventions while maintaining appropriate ethical guidelines.
For the past 15 years in which I have been practicing with my clinical license, I have provided countless hours of clinical supervision to MSW level practioners who were seeking clinical licensure. I have provided group and individual supervision. I also have experience providing supervision to BSW students who are seeking their MSW and need internship supervision hours. My supervision style is to provide curriculum information on techniques, ethics, practice guidelines at the beginning of session and then to finish up with questions or case reports from the supervisees. I expect that the supervisees will be actively involved in their supervision, will come to supervision with questions and case examples and will keep track of their own hours.
My hours are mostly flexible due my part-time work status, however I am specifically more available Thursdays and Fridays daytime as I work M-W. I am available for group or individual supervision via Skype (rates vary). If you are local there is the potential for face to face group or individual supervision, depending on interest. Interested parties will be emailed a copy of my contract which outlines fees, but generally speaking group supervision is billed at $30/hr per week and indvidual supervision is billed at $75/hr per week. Fees are taken care of securely via pay pal at the begining of the month. Supervision is only provided if the session has been pre-paid.
Additionally if you are preparing to take your licensure exam soon for the State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation (LCSW exam) and need guidance, I am available for 4-5 individual consultation sessions ($75 a piece) or as many sessions as needed to prepare you for the exam. It would be reccomended that the supervisee purchase the LCSW exam study guide prior to us begining our preperation sesssions.
I hope you will consider using me for your supervision. If preferred, I can provide recommendations from MSW's that have used me as their supervisor in the past. Best of luck in your licensure pursuits!
