Clinical Social Work-Therapist
work primarily with individual adults and couples, and I sometimes work with older adolescents and their families. I am committed to my own personal and professional growth - as I am to yours - and continue to educate myself about people and their relationship with self and others. Psychotherapy is a profession that invites life-long learning, and I have had years of post-masters training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, transactional analysis, redecision therapy and experiential methods (psychodrama, family sculpting, social atom). My areas of expertise are addictions, mood disorders and relationships.
When you come to see me as a client, I start with you in the here and now. I seek to learn the reasons that bring you to therapy at this time. I am also interested in how early family experiences influence you today. My approach is called psychodynamic.
Prior to gaining my education and credentials as a psychotherapist, I produced and directed professional theatre in Washington, DC. I have a true appreciation for the artist and other creative people.
