Clinical Social Work-Therapist
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from LSU in May 2006. I have since become certified in addictions counseling and earned my clinical social work license in January 2010. My training and practice has primarily focused on utilizing Motivational Enhancement Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My experience has included individual, group, family, and multifamily therapy with adolescents and adults. I have treated individuals and families with a variety of intersecting needs and disorders including affective disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, chemical dependency, psychosis, and behavior disorders. I also have extended experience with treating those in crisis.
I am highly passionate about the ability of all clients to make changes and reach their personal therapy goals. I believe in focusing and building on the strengths of those I work with to support them in recognizing their potentials and opportunities and making positive changes.
I will provide compassionate, ethical, and professional services to all clients while providing them the skills and resources to work through any stressors they are being faced with.
