Clinical Social Work-Therapist, Counselor, LCSW Clinical Social Work Supervisor
I have been involved in providing counseling services since 1973l In addition to being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I have achieved certifications in sex therapy, as a substance abuse professional, in e-therapy, and as an addiction professional.
I believe supervision is a way of giving back. Supervision is a time for supervisees to identify their style, discover how to put into practice the theories learned during their educational journey, and learn during supervision. My background includes staff development, instruction, providing medicaid services, program development and supervision, and more than 20 years of clinical services.
My approach to supervision is to help supervisees develop and gain confidence in their skills and clinical work. I do not believe that is my place to turn out clinicians that mimic my skills and clinical work. While I have years of experience and am a highly developed expert in the areas of my clinical focus, I do not believe that it is my place to impose my expertise on supervisees.
