Clinical Social Work-Therapist, Counselor, LCSW Clinical Social Work Supervisor
I am a therapist as well as a supervisor. Therefore, I believe that supervision should be collaborative. Like the therapist and client relationship, the supervisor and supervisee relationship should be non-judgmental and compassion-based. There should be solid guidance, no judgment, and understanding allowing the supervisee to grow in their profession. The relationship between a supervisor and supervisee should be safe; thus, I work to convey trust and rapport to create that safety. I highlight my supervisees' strengths in order to help them overcome the obstacles they may discover and together we face the barriers. It is my hope that together we can find a good fit.
